Our honeymoon to Japan π―π
17 August 2023
During the last couple of months, we have been planning our honeymoon to Japan alongside our last couple of wedding planning tasks. Going there has been our wish for a very long time as it's a new country to experience and explore together. So finally after waiting for the country to open up again after Covid, we have planned to spend our honeymoon there!
Our plan is to stay there for 4 weeks in total and travel from Tokyo to Hiroshima. We have already booked most of our hotels and have done some research on what kind of activities and landmarks we want to do and see.

While 4 weeks seems like a long time for a holiday, it already seems too short for the number of things we want to do and see there. So we have made it a priority to research and plan it as thoroughly as possible to include as many places and activities as we can into our honeymoon without making it too overwhelming.
Our planning (at the time of writing this blog) includes visits to:
- Tokyo
- Nikko
- Hakone
- Kyoto
- Osaka
- Nara
- Kobe
- Himeji
- Okayama
- Onomichi
- Matsuyama
- Hiroshima
In that order, we will travel from north to south with the train starting from Tokyo.
After Hiroshima, we have some days left unplanned in case we want to visit another city (again). The last day will be spent in Tokyo before flying back home again.
We look forward to it a lot, especially to eating delicious food and experiencing Japan's culture. It will probably be a hassle to communicate with the locals though since English is not a commonly spoken language there. Luckily we live in the time of Google Maps and Google Translate! DaijΕbudesu! π
